Lauro was given to this world on June 23, 1958, and left us peacefully on November 23, 2016, after his tremendous and courageous battle with CJD. He is survived by his wife of 33 wonderful years, Cynthia Guerra, his two boys, Lauro and Gabriel, his mother, Hilda, his brothers Gerardo and Daniel, and his sisters Aurora and Dolores, as well as a loving, extended family.

He will be remembered as a good, honest, supportive, and giving husband, father, and friend. He was a family man and always put them first. Lauro was currently working for Bimbo Bakeries USA as an Engineering and Maintenance Manager. He was dedicated to his work and always treated his coworkers like family.

He was a Padre Island surfer and a Gulf Coast fisherman who ate what he caught. He was tough as nails, and gentle as the tide. He will be remembered as a true Dallas Cowboys fan, and a season ticket holder. He never missed a game, and always called a first down. He had a love for motorcycles, and took every chance to cruise on his bikes. He will never be forgotten, and his legacy will continue in the hearts of his family and friends.
