Larry Shane Hood, age 46, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loved ones at home on Wednesday, August 30. Shane fought a life-long and courageous battle with Duchenne, Muscular Dystrophy and was finally ready to be with Jesus and his beloved mom in Heaven. His strength, fighting spirit, humor and faith gave everyone who knew him a better appreciation for life. He will forever be a part of us all. He is preceded in death by his mom, Pamela Bailey Hood, his grandparents, Dixie Flynn and Jim and Marge Lancaster, his Aunt Brenda Flynn...

Larry Shane Hood, age 46, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loved ones at home on Wednesday, August 30. Shane fought a life-long and courageous battle with Duchenne, Muscular Dystrophy and was finally ready to be with Jesus and his beloved mom in Heaven. His strength, fighting spirit, humor and faith gave everyone who knew him a better appreciation for life. He will forever be a part of us all. He is preceded in death by his mom, Pamela Bailey Hood, his grandparents, Dixie Flynn and Jim and Marge Lancaster, his Aunt Brenda Flynn and Uncle Bobby Hood. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Christina, his Dad and Step-Mom Larry and Cathy Hood, his siblings, Jennifer and Michael Harris, Matthew and Michelle Hood and Karol and Johnny Cargill, many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 9, receiving guests at 3pm, service begins at 4pm. Brookside Cypress Creek Funeral Home. 9149 Hwy 6 North.

A celebration of Shane's life will immediately follow at Michael and Jennifer Harris's home. A Graveside Service will be held at Crestview Cemetery, Garden of Angels in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he will be laid to rest next to his mom on Friday, September 15 at 2pm.
